Revive Veterinary Care is an independently owned small animal practice which opened in September 2025. Our practice is growing and we are looking to hire an experienced RVT to our team.
Position Title: Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT)
Reports To: Medical Director
Employee Status: Non-Exempt, Full Time

Key Responsibilities:
Clinical & Surgical Support:
- Anesthesia Management: Induce, monitor, and maintain anesthesia; perform pre-anesthetic assessments and post-operative recovery.
- Surgical Assisting: Prepare surgical suites, gown/glove in for procedures, and manage sterile fields.
- Radiography: Position patients and capture high-quality diagnostic images (Digital X-ray and Dental Radiography).
- Laboratory Skills: Collect and process samples (blood, urine, feces, cytology) and perform in-house diagnostic testing.
Patient Care & Nursing:
- Advanced Nursing: Administer medications (IV, IM, SQ, PO), place intravenous catheters, and perform fluid therapy calculations.
- Triage: Assess emergency arrivals and stabilize patients under veterinary supervision.
- Dental Prophylaxis: Perform dental radiographs, scaling, polishing, and charting. Perform dental extractions under supervision of the attending veterinarian.
Client Communication:
- Education: Explain treatment plans, discharge instructions, and preventative care to clients with empathy and clarity.
- Pharmacy: Accurately fill prescriptions and counsel owners on side effects and administration techniques.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Licensure: Active RVT license in the state of California.
- Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Technology from an AVMA-accredited program.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of pharmacology, medical terminology, and animal behavior.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and safely restrain fractious patients.
- Soft Skills: A "team-first" attitude, emotional resilience, and the ability to stay calm under the pressure of a fast-paced ER or surgery day.
- Proficient in English.
- US Citizen or Permanent Resident.
